Born in Queens, NY, and raised in the Dominican Republic.

Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Master’s in TESOL from Queens College.
How long have you been a teacher:
This is my 5th year teaching.
Favorite Saint?
Virgen de la Altagracia (It’s a version of Mary after Jesus’ birth. She is highly worshiped by people from the Dominican Republic. The classic image portrays the Holy Family and baby Jesus in the manger.)
Favorite Quote?
A teacher takes a hand, opens a mind and touches a heart.
Favorite Verse?
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6.
What can they look forward to when they join your class?
When you walk in my class, you can look forward to a structured, loving atmosphere where you can learn and achieve. I am a teacher with high expectations for my students and who likes to foster inside them feelings of confidence in their abilities and independence.
What’s unique and interesting about your class?
Something unique about my class is that it is dual language, with the goal being to include opportunities for bilingualism with 50% of the day in English and 50% of the day in Spanish.
