Message to Students
When joining my 4th grade class here at OLG East, students can look forward to gaining a whole other family! In my classroom, we create a safe, positive and fun environment and together we become a classroom family. At the same time, though, we are always responsible for ourselves. In our classroom, we have an individual ticket system which we can earn on our own by participating, being a good friend, a good listener or just helping someone out. These tickets can be used at our Desk Pet store! Our Desk Pets are eraser animal friends that we all start with at the beginning of the year. They live in our desks! Our tickets help us buy new accessories like blankets, food, bigger homes or even another Desk Pet friend! At OLG East, our 4th graders are the oldest in the school. With that, my students are the role models for the younger grades. In our classroom, my students each have a class job in order to take care of our class. As well as the task of earning Table Points with their respective tables. Points are given to tables with good listening, quick, quiet transitioning and to those who work together. This is a team effort. At the end of the week, winning teams have the opportunity to pick out of our prize box for a special treat. Also, we have opportunities as a whole class to earn class parties and rewards by getting our PomPom jar filled to the top! The way we can fill up this jar is by getting compliments from other teachers in the building or even our principal!
Message to Parents
Dear Parents, Thank you for choosing to send your child to the Our Lady of Guadalupe School. I am so excited to be your child’s 4th grade teacher this year, as well as get to know each and every one of you! To keep you in the know, each week I will be sending home a weekly newsletter about what we did in class for the week. I will also be sending out messages on our ClassDojo about any important reminders or information. You can also reach me at my school email as well. Thank you, Ms. Miritello
