Welcome Students!
Welcome to 5th and 6th grade math! This year you will solve new challenges and discover how you can utilize what you learn in math in everyday life! This may include learning how multiplication is used while running a business, or how negative numbers are utilized while tracking the weather as the temperature dips below zero in Alaska! You will have opportunities to work with your classmates as you explore new strategies for problem solving and challenge each other through different review games. In math class we will use a combination of technology and different manipulatives to help visualize each problem and find the solution. We will also have the opportunity to learn not only indoors, but also outside on our beautiful school campus!
Message to Parents
Thank you for choosing to become part of the Our Lady of Guadalupe family! I look forward to getting to know each of you as we begin this adventure of opening this new school together! I am honored to be part of this school's mission as we continue to encourage this next generation of students to grow in faith, hope, and charity.
During this school year, we will be utilizing Google Classroom for classroom materials, assignments, and reminders. I will also be sending reminders and announcements through the Remind app. Each class’s individual Remind app code can be found on Google Classroom. If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to email me.
