What can they look forward to when they join your class?
My students can look forward to an engaging learning experience with integrated social emotional learning.
What is unique or interesting about your class?
I like to focus on social emotional learning in order for students to be ready to learn and know how they can get their bodies and mind ready to learn. We work on having a growth mindset and whole body listening in my room daily. I focus on teaching the whole child (academics, social skills, emotions, etc.). I also have a positive reinforcement system for students to be motivated to follow expectations, persevere through challenges, and strive to go above and beyond.
How is your class different from what they experienced last year?
Brand new curriculum for all subjects, earning best behavior bucks, more responsibility and independence, opportunities for team work, earning free time Friday
Message to Parents
I am fortunate for the opportunity to get to know your child, work with them, and watch them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually this year. We will do so by creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. On a daily basis your child will be actively engaged in the third grade curriculum through hands-on activities and projects. I look forward to working with you as a team in order for your child to have a successful school year.
